Some of you have noticed a name change to my website and program.  The reason for the return of the show name “OnLine with Bill Alexander” is to clear up any confusion about the show.  I know that it has taken me over a year to make the change but I thought now was a good time.     

        I have been using the show name OnLine with Bill Alexander since 2000 when I started hosting the night time talk program.   What was interesting is that “OnLine” referred to the telephone and not the internet. However, when the show went to Talkshoe.com, “OnLine” began referring to the Internet.   It is my belief that the “OnLine” better refers to communication than does “NETIO”.

  The origin of “NETIO” came from a comment that I made one night saying that I would not call the program a Radio show since it is on the internet.  So one of my callers (Randy South) suggest “NETIO” a cross between interNET and radIO.  So I was calling the show “OnLine with Bill Alexander: The NETIO Show” and then shortened it “The NETIO Show”.  But after talking with a good friend of mine who convinced me to change it back.  So I did. Also, if for some reason I do return to commercial Radio, I will be able to take the program to the traditional setting without a lot of explanation.
